In an industrial establishment in Ontario Canada, when should one be required to have an electrical licence to work on electrical components?
I have currently been offered a job working at a local factory, and the job they offered me also requires me to do electrical work on their machinery. I know I can do some electrical work, but serious electrical troubleshooting is something that is not my strength. Also, I may be required to work on 600v systems as well.

Government4 months agoCan Ontario second career pay for a university degree? If not, what are my options?
I am looking at getting retrained, as things have changed in my current career. Where I used to work, my learning disability did not hamper me too much and I was able to thrive. Sadly I was laid off, without any chance of returning, not due to covid, and i am having difficulty coping with my new job. I thought no I have to give up the ghost on this one and try something new. I am looking at going to university, but I don’t want to lose my house and car, which I have worked very hard for. The new career would be as a researcher, possibly for history or for sociology, but I would have to get a relatively high level degree for that. Any ideas other than borrowing from a rich relative or bank?

For the past month, I have been doing a job that I just started, and I am thus still on probation. I checked LinkedIn, and the ad is still posted, and even renewed! Also, it is on the company website, which was also just recently posted! Should I be concerned?

I’ve recently started a new job, nowI find the one woman in this workplace very attractive, and I am very interested in her, but I don’t believe she has the same interest to me. However, I made the mistake at lunch of mentioning to her how good-looking she was. She got nervous and left. It’s obvious what I did May have been wrong. I knew from day one that she would not have been interested. I also find that I still am interested in very much so attracted to her, and I am having difficulty controlling myself in that matter. Any suggestions on how I could deal with the situation?

7 AnswersOther - France2 years agoWhat, if anything, has to be done so a new employer’s health insurance will cover my pre-existing injury?
I am aware that some employer insurance plans will not cover a pre existing injury if it has not been first “ok’d” by the employer. What do I need to ask my prospective employer to do for this insurance company to accept my injury, which needs periodic care and every so often I need to replace medical appliances to assist caring for said injury.

Just curious, because I don’t know if Canadians gave up their commonwealth citizenship when we brought home our constitution.
5 AnswersImmigration2 years agoDo companies HAVE to accommodate people with minor medical issues?
This is to solve an argument between a friend and myself. He is of the belief that sleep apnea (in his and my case extremely severe) and depression it would be mandatory for a company to put someone on a non rotating shift.

1 AnswerInvesting2 years agoWith all the problems Alberta is having transporting its product, why does it not build a refinery to refine its product right in Alberta?
Alberta is right now ebbing in its economy, if it built a refinery right there, it could lower our gas prices, provide jobs, get Alberta’s product to market much easier, and provide construction jobs as well!

I was watching a documentary on shipwrecks in the Gulf of Mexico, and three of them they surmise may have been sunk by a hurricane, I then started wondering, what happens to the water under a hurricane, does it rotate as well? How far down does this disturbance go?
