Is Canada trying to influence the US elections this November ?
They have targeted US states that voted for trump with tariffs. The tariffs were in retaliation of trumps tariffs on steel and aluminium.
Example Kentucky’s whiskey products

Of course..... and it is likely that so is every other nation in the world if they think they can get even a tiny advantage in doing so.

Tariffs are political. It isn't unreasonable for countries adversely affected by Trump's tariiff's to target Trump-supporting states for retaliatory tariffs to damage Trump's political standing. But the timing of the retaliatory tariffs was determined by the timing of Trump's tariffs not by the timing of the elections.

There's nothing wrong with trying to influence an election, as long as you don't tamper with the voting systems, carry out espionage or commit illegal activities to win the election. Trump was the one who needlessly started this trade war with American trading partners.

Canada meddles in all US elections.
As does the UK.
But no one ever cared about that. And they still don't.
Most people on their two year crying jag over election meddling, are only upset that the meddling didn't help their candidate.
