Who are the Mercers, and how are they involved with Trump & Cambridge Analytica in harvesting private user data for election purposes?

The Mercers are a family of wealthy business people. They are politically conservative and are big money donors to numerous conservative causes both in the US and abroad. They are part owners of Cambridge analytica the controversial data firm which Trump hired for his campaign.

Face book and other free apps have been selling our infomation for advertisement for a VERY long time. It is literally how they make their money. The only "problem" here the the media is keying in on, .... is that in this case it was a Republican who did it. Cause don'tcha know repubs are evil and democrats are saints.
