He also wants a trade war with his largest trading partner, CANADA. But it was the USA who proposed NAFTA in the first place.
And while our gutless soy boy of a Prime Minister will 'ho' and 'hum' rather than protect CANADIAN interests, Trump had better be prepared for a major backlash of CANADIAN Consumers. Because if Trump fvcks with us on steel we will just start buying Japanese cars & trucks and his American cars can rot and rust on the dealership lots.

Canada, Brazil, and Mexico are three of the main exporting countries to the US. While tariffs will help the steel industry, it will cause higher prices in all industries that use steel. Aluminum would be the same way.

They need us far more than we need them. Besides, the EU and Asia have had tariffs on their goods since WWII. China and Japan will not let certain businesses even enter their countries.

He does not. Steel manufacturers in the US have made the case for years that there is dumping going on in the US. Until now no one in government had the guts to do anything about it. It is cheaper to buy Chinese steel in the US than it is if buying Chinese steel in Shanghai.

I don't agree with it, but the reason is many of these ' allies ' tax the hell out of our products when they arrive in their country.
