Considering that most modern homes don't have fireplaces, should the story of how Santa enters homes be "officially" revised?

I don't mean change things such as "The Night Before Christmas", but introduce new stories that reflect how children live now.

    "It's MAGIC!" The end!

Every country has their own version of Santa stories! Pick one that works or make something up!

I have friends that celebrate gift giving on Christmas Eve. and the kids still believe in Santa! Figure that one out!

Better tell them there is no Santa. he is an annoying Victorian invention, we got on perfectly well celebrating Christmas without him for hundreds of years before. Take a look at A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, regarded as the ultimate Christmas story. You will search in vain for any mention of Santa Claus in there.
