Penile yeast infection or an STD?

Update:

pretty much immediately after having sex, the very tip of my penis has become red. there is also a red ring around my foreskin. there is some white discharge coming out and it hurts when i urinate or ejaculate.

is this an STD or a penile yeast infection? should i get an STD test or get yeast infection cream?

Only a GUM clinic could tell you.

    How soon after sex. ??

Did you wear a condom ?

Most, but not all, yeast infections are STDs.

Since the cause of your problem could be a yeast or might be bacteria you need to see a doctor to get a test. Trying to treat a yeast with an anti-bacterial cream can make it worse just as using an anti-fungal cream on a bacterial infection will worsen it.

Since the problem developed very soon after having sex it was probably acquired at that time - which means the girl also has an infection. She too should see a doctor as soon as possible.

Remember to ALWAYS use a condom for any sex outside of a stable marriage. This protects you from most STDs as well as preventing unwanted pregnancies.

Only a doctor could test for that
