HELPP. FIND THE Y COORDINATE OF THE POINT OF TANGENCY?
Okay so the formula is Fx=3x^2 - 4x - 1. and I found the slope of the tangent line at x=1, which is m=2
Now it is asking me to find the y coordinate of the point of tangency? How do i do that?

To find the y coordinate, it's super easy. Just plug in x = 1 into the original function!
f(1) = 3(1)² - 4 - 1 = 3 - 4 - 1 = -2 (no clue where the other poster got 21 or what division s/he is referring to btw)
