What would have happened if Gemany won world war 1?
What I mean by this is that after the allies won, eventually Germany returned to being its own state. However, if Germany had won WW1, would they have eventually moved out of France and Britain etc and let them be their own nations again?
I don't ask this about WW2, as I know that Hitler did want to take over some parts of Europe, and ended up in war, but what was the aim of Germany in WW1?
Thanks for your answers.

The Treaty of Brest Litovsk should be an awful warning of what would have befell France and Britain . When Russia sued for peace in March 1918 the Russians were forced to give away vast swathes of territory in the west , including some of Russia`s best industry and agriculture . The terms imposed by the Germans were very harsh . Russia had to surrender nearly half of its European territory . Finland , the Baltic provinces , Belorussia ( now Belarus ) Poland , the Ukraine and parts of the Caucasus . How much harsher would the German demands have been on the French and British with Europe now under the heels of Germany and Austria / Hungary

If Germany had won WW 1, their plan was to demand huge indemnity payments from the allies, the British and French would have lost many of their overseas colonies, and both France and Belgium would have lost additional territory in Europe to Germany. In addition, Russia would have lost all claims to Poland. But all the nations would have been allowed to survive.

If Germany had won, they would have added most of Europe to their Empire, and increased their colonial acquisitions. They may have left Britain alone, as a defeated Britain would not be seen as a threat, while trying to occupy it would have taken too many resources. The US would have returned to its isolationist policies. The world would not be as technologically developed, and social and industrial progress would be much less.
