I don't want to grow up!?

So I'm a 14 year old girl and ill be turning 15 in roughly two months, so I know this sounds slightly ridiculous but I'm terrified. I don't want to grow up, I don't want to work some boring job, I don't want to have to be responsible. I recently found my old stuffed animals and just the sight of this one in particular that I idolized, I just started crying and I couldn't stop. My brother is graduating after this upcoming school year starts and that scares me, it really scares me in 5 years ill be 20 and he'll be 23 and my parents will be 40 and 42! I just feel like I haven't had any time to truly grow up and have a childhood, I'm not done yet! I haven't even tried to get my beginners drivers licence because that's another step in growing up. I'm not really good at anything, especially school so I'm scared for my future. I just feel like in school they force up to grow so quickly. What are you going to do? Are you having kids? University? And the teenage pressures like boyfriends, drama, etc is something I can't handle. I guess I don't really know what I'm asking I just felt like I needed to vent and hopefully somebody can share some words of wisdom with me. Thank you!

Everything comes gradually and in time. Think of it like this. When in 1st grade and you saw homework of a 6th grader. Would would be like wtf how will I ever be able to do this. Then bam your in 6th grade and is just a regular assignment.

That might of been a bad example but I just remember that from my past. Being a grown up is awesome. Like you literally can do what you when you want how you want. You want that candy bam you can buy it. You want to learn to dance or boxing then bam make it happen. You want to move somewhere else you can. Theres so much and yes as we grow old lets not forget that our parents are getting older too.

Everyone grows up at different paces. Usually girls mature faster than boys but not always the case. You will be fine as long as you are on some sort of path. Currently youre on the path of education which how most of america is on your age. When I was 14 I was such a dork, When I was 15 I was a loner, when I was 16 I finally got my nut, when I was 17 I became a druggy and actually understood sex, 18 druggy that didn't care about life, 19 started boxing, went skydiving, went through about of crazy adventures, Now Im 20 and I mve 1,500 miles from home to work in the oilfield to make some money for a few years. I feel I have purpose. In 1 year I see myself with a CDL, in 3 years I see myself in Africa as a volunteer in the peace corps.

Don't rush anything just go with the flow and you will be perfectly fine. As we grow up our brain changes chemistry and those feelings you currently have to go away and you will be a grown beautiful woman. Make right choices though. Remember that no matter how hard life gets that things will never always be the same. That is how we grow.

Living in the past makes you depressed, living in the future gives anxiety, living in the present is where we chill *** go with flow people live.

I've been having that feeling lately too. I graduated grade 12 over a month ago and it seemed just yesterday I was entering grade 9. I am doing an extra year which can be done in Canada.

But being a grown up is awesome. You can make your own decisions, buy what you want etc....

You should understand, growing up can be a bit scary but we all have to deal with it and enjoy our lives :)

I am going to college in September 2015; am I scared? Yes. Will it be hard? Of course but it will be worth it to do a careee that I enjoy.

    I have Epilepsy and think..

How am I going to pay for my medication, electricity, internet, tv bills, water bills...but I know somehow I will make it.

If I could be a teen forver, it would be nice but it won't happen :( but growing up will be easier as you mature and you get use to the idea. It can be scary but it opening a new chapter of your life.

Think you are writing a book and this is a new chapter. I do the same thing.
