Coffee mugs for camping?

We camp two or three times a year, and of course our morning coffee is an important part of the experience. I'm picky about coffee--the stuff I buy is almost as good as Starbuck's though less expensive, and we brew it in a French press. Currently we camp with a pair of old ceramic coffee mugs, but they're breakable and don't travel all that well. I'd like to get a set of mugs for camping that aren't breakable, something that insulates about as well as ceramic, something with a handle. Can anyone suggest something that would fit the bill?

    I use these:

No handle but they are great.

    Then there are these:

Both have handles, are insulated and affordable.

I prefer the ceramic cups, the heavier the better as long as you aren't back packing. On a Cold morning, a steel cup will cool your coffee too fast. Heat a pot of water over the campfire, put your cups in to heat them up, then enjoy a hot cup of "Joe" for a longer time. Works for your breakfast plates too.

Stainless steel mugs at any camping store.

Insulation is provided by propping the cup against a rock near the fire so as to maintain the proper optimal drinking temp.

EDITORIAL: i do realize the value of hot coffee in the morning but as a truck driver, once one wants hot coffee and food, you get spoiled and therefore unfit for living in the wilderness. If you wish to maintain civilization, use *your brain* to figure out how to make that happen. Adapt. Improvise. Overcome.

We humans didn't climb down out of the trees on the Savannah and take over the world by wanting hot coffee. Can I rest my case yet?

You could do "cowboy coffee" which involves putting your METAL container over the fire to a boil, putting in some grounds, letting it steep and then adding a touch of cold water to make the grounds settle to the bottom of the cup. But alas, I suspect your version of camping is more subtle than mine.

Go to Walmart and look for a desk mug. They are stainless, not ceramic and hold the heat extremely well. I use mine all of the time. The name on the cup is Copco.

They have those mugs for sailboats that don't tip or spill if you set them on uneven ground.
