Martinez that KO'd Williams vs Cotto now?

im not taking ANYTHING away from Cotto because that was a spectacular win over the best middleweight king in recent years.

But, if hypothetically speaking we were to say Martinez's knees were not as **** as we saw them saturday night, and Cotto came in against the Martinez that KO'd Williams, who would win?

I would say Martinez by KO

and let me remind everyone so no one gives me any hate, i am not taking anything away from Cotto because whether Martinez was over the hill or not, that was a spectacular win that only the elite can do.

A lot of people will be saying they are not taking anything away from Cotto after this victory over Martinez and rightly so too because he did his job perfectly.

But let's be quite clear here, if Martinez didn't have any injury problems on the night he would have battered Cotto. I watched 24/7 and Martinez said he had the injury "under control" when I heard that the alarm bells sounded because I hoped and expected him to say that he was injury free and use those exact words. So when he is not making excuses but saying that it's "under control" that tells me he is unlikely to ever be free from injury again because he had more than enough time out of the ring for it to heal but obviously it hasn't healed properly and probably never will.

A one year and 2 month lay off with no tune up match, bad knees = no power, and so on vs a young wartorn improved cotto was a mismatch. Huge mistake on Martinez part for not having a tune up. We all saw how chavez brutally beat him up, Murray finished him, and cotto destroyed the left overs. Imagine if Chavez trained and took him serious, Murray fought him outside Argentina. The cotto fight wouldn't of happened. He should just fight a bum for his last match and retire. Anyways, that version of Martinez might actually do well.
