I know in Canada you speak English and French. If you want to learn a third language, you should take German. Mull over this question:

Where will you use Portuguese? But German?

Pay attention to this: Portuguese is spoken in Portugal and Latin America (maybe a little more contries) . Most of them are poor contries. Both Canada and German are rich countries, with powerful economie. That's why i said German.

If you want to move to Latin America or Portugal, then take Portuguese. If you want to move to Germany, then learn German. It depends on what do you want to do in the future.

I'd say Portuguese. If you learn Portuguese it'd be a lot easier to learn Spanish or French or Italian with if you ever need it. And German is an ugly language IMO lol

Portuguese is spoken by more people, hence a bigger market place to talk to.
