lamb in the slow cooker?
hi, i took a piece of boneless lamb leg, approx 2.2kg and put it into my slow cooker with some olive oil, rosemary, garlic, lemon, honey, salt/pepper, etc. i know i shouldve added onion but anyways its been about 4 hours and ive tried a piece and its about medium/ medium well. should i cook it for another 4 hours and turn it into shredded lamb or is 4 hours enough? i know it is probably personal choice but what do you people think?
thanks alot

it sounds delicious! I would eat it for dinner right now. if it is medium to medium well, it is over done, but what the heck.
you could also continue cooking for another couple hours for the shredded lamb for BBQ sandwiches? also sounds delicious!!

It sounds amazingly delicious to me already, but I like my lamb medium to medium-rare. Unless you prefer well-done meat, I would take it out, let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving, and then enjoy. Remember, as you reheat any leftovers, it will cook even more, so better to leave it a little underdone, so that you can still enjoy the reheated leftovers without them being overcooked.

lamb should always be rare....you cant really use left overs..they don't taste the same
