Depends on the location. Enough to cover all the utilities, taxes, and any payment that you have. The going rate for a barber's station in my area in a busy location is $400 to $750 a month.

Beauty Salon's pay more rent because they charge a lot more money for their services. $15 for a haircut vs. $120+ for a cut, style, and dye job.

Jeff's answer is so stupid. If the barber is lazy or doesn't come in to work often that means you don't get paid for an occupied space. He takes off on vacation for two weeks, that means he is occupying a space for free for those two weeks. Besides, are you going to count the amount of haircuts that each barber gives?

One option is to charge 10% of the gross.

Every time he uses your chair to do a $15 haircut, you get $1.50 rent.
