understand how some of the "top answerers" can rack up 50 to 100 best answers a WEEK..when you seldom if ever see them post and answer?? Then when you go to see their answers, they are totally blocked out???

I can get up to 700 points in best answers a week. I am a speed typist, so I can answer quite a number of questions in very little time. You can see that I answer many questions in the Etiquette section along with other sections of my interest.
My account is blocked because I value my privacy.
I do believe that there are people who have several accounts and pick their own answers as best answer. The funny think about that is that they are cheating......all for what? Cheating just themselves. Big whoop, huh? There are no prizes or real recognition for getting best answer. This is just cyberspace where people share their knowledge. Sure, there are trolls everywhere. Pretty pathetic, I think.
Nonetheless, all of my own points are honestly earned.

maybe from a different country/time zone and post at a different time from you?
people are on here 24/7 (not the same person lol)
its a high traffic site, it must be impossible to keep track of everyone
