What is going on with my bookmarks in Google Chrome?
Okay, I logged into my Google account on someone else's laptop and once I logged out, I saw my bookmarks were still there. I don't want to leave my crap on someone else's computer so I deleted it, thinking that since I was logged out of my account it wouldn't delete this information. Well, so open up Google Chrome on my computer and all my book marks are gone! This doesn't make any sense to me.
I went onto their support page and it said "Here's how you can find what you are looking for:" followed by nothing!
I am kinda irritated, to say the least. Should I just delete Chrome off of my computer and go for Firefox or something? Or is there a solution to this I don't know about?

It's because you signed into Chrome which syncs Chrome on one PC with any other PC that you sign into Chrome (the browser, not just your Google account) on, so the changes are reflected on any computer you sign into or are signed in to. You should never sign into Chrome on a PC you don't own, it has probably synced other things to your friends PC like passwords (if you saved them) as well. You should read this http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=... especially under the heading "I accidentally signed in to Chrome on a public computer. How do I delete all my synced data from that computer?".
Firefox is good, it also has a sync feature if you specifically choose to enable it as well, but it doesn't nag you to do it like Chrome does.

Whilst you set up chrome to your laptop, right here has a option that make you sync bookmarks, or which you could click on the wrench button and choose Import Bookmarks and Settings then decide upon Firefox, and everything is ok.

I am having the same issue myself. I simply loggged into google and saw my kids bookmarks from their log in on my log in screen. So I logged out, and poof mine were gone. Im hoping I can find an answer. I am reading this forum

Well you should read the small print/explanations etc before you start using a different/upgraded/changed service.
You put your stuff up in the cloud and there it rests. Yes you can access it from anywhere, but what happens when you deleted it?
