What kind of surfboard should i get?

im 14, 5foot 8, about 130pounds(<-- skinny btw)

i read somewhere on a surfing site that beginners are recommend to get a used long board. And that used boards are best, so you dont have to worry about damaging it. But it also depends on your height etc. but it also said that people around the weight of 100-150 could get a 7'8 or a 7'6 funboard.

is there any surfers out there? if so please send me a link, or a lot of details.

Please&Thankyou :)

    None.

Rent one while you are taking lessons. If you decide you like surfing, then go to a surf shop and buy one.

Yeah, try renting and taking lessons first then either move to one of the foamtop boards from costco (which are really cheap) or to a used funboard. When i began a few years ago, i bought 7'6 funboard and I still occasionally ride it to this day, I love it!

    Good luck :)

Screw lessons, get a friend to go out with. buy a wavestorm from costco for 100 bucks and a wet suit depending where you live at the thrift shop. when you improve enough and are fully committed buy yourself a custom board and nice wet suit.
