Tips for a loud Tetra Whisper filter?

Second Tetra filter I've bought recently where the spinner/unit was so loud...years ago they used to be much better. On the first one I replaced the magnet/spinner with an old one that was quieter. My second one I don't have a replacement (this is the double large filter). Any thoughts on troubleshooting this hum? OR recommendations for other filters as I may just buy a different one after all these years. Thanks!

Update:

do you have a pic...not sure exactly which way you mean? tx!

I too have the Tetra Whisper filter and one of them was very loud. I fixed the issue by making sure the blade that spins to bring water into the filter was secured properly into the propeller shaft. If not in properly, it can cause it to spin and hit other sides of the filter. If this doesn't work, then I would suggest either an internal filter, or getting a new filter. Tetra Whisper works, you just have to get it to work right. I've gone through about 2 of those filters for the tens of them that I have for my tank. They're reliable, but more often than not there's one with the issue of a non-secure fan blade.
