Why do people oppose Ron Paul's ideas about giving more power to state and local governments?
Even as a progressive myself, it seems to make a lot of sense to me; people will be more able to actively participate and have a voice in how their state/city is run. And if their state/city is run by oppressive, bigoted people they can find another state/city that isn't. And we can still have the federal government to protect basic rights. I'm looking for honest answers because I wanna see both sides of the equation.

because people in this country are too damn stupid. people worry about their stupid shows like housewives and all that ignorant crap and don't care as much for the things that matter. also a lot of people are truly weak minded and can't even think for themselves so they just go with some idiot they don't even do their research on or look at what the person is really for. then there is the real STUPID people who believe everything their government tells them and make Ron Paul out to be some quack. then their are the few people like me and you who actaully study and know the constitution and what Ron Paul wants to do is put this country back the way its suppose to be. too bad we are the few.

"Find another state that isn't" is not a solution. Do you know many poor people who have the means to simply move a few states away? No, of course not.
