Is it a good idea to give my landlord a small gift since I'm moving out?

I rented a room for 3 months, for super-cheap(200 ) . Now it's time to move out. Say I bought my landlord and the remaining two tenants a box of donuts. Is it OK?

Of course - that would be really nice if you want to do it.

But you don't have to and it's not expected.

Some people will say "absolutely not" because they think a landlord by definition is exploiting you. But if you feel you got a good deal and want to say "thanks", a box of donuts is a really nice thing to do. Relationships should be cooperative and friendly!

I think it would be a nice thing to do. It is a way of saying thank you. One of the problems with the world today is that people don't appreciate each other enough. If your landlord was a nice, and fair person with you, then by all means bring a box of donuts. I'm sure the people you lived with will appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Absolutely! As long as he's not diabetic! :)
