Why do so many people use the word Effect over Affect?

and Vice Versa? Effect is the Noun, Affect is the verb. That person has an effect on me, that person affects me.

    They don't realise that there is a difference.

    Not really noun/verb of the same thing seeing as they're totally different definitions.

    Probably use the wrong word as grammer is not taught in schools anymore
