What does streaming mean?
I’m old & don’t know what this means when I hear them say it’s on HBO & available for streaming.

Let's say we are talking about a movie. You can download it or stream it. If you download it, you have to wait while all of the movie file is sent to your computer and stored on the disk . This can take awhile since the file is very large. Once it is on your disk in the computer, you have the movie to watch anytime you want. You now possess the movie.
If you stream the movie, you watch it as it's being sent. You watch it as it is being sent rather than waiting for it to all pile up on your disk first and then watching it. When a file is streamed, it is not stored on your disk so you do not possess the file. All you do is watch it in "passing".
Streaming is like how you always used to watch movies on TV as it was sent from the station. Downloading is like going to the store and buying the movie on tape or disk.
