How can I apologize to my mom?

My mom is a single parent and found a way last year to send me to one of the toughest high schools in the state. I have a full ride scholarship and my mom doesn't think that I deserve it anymore. I have a 3.14 and my mom is livid. She tells me that I need to try harder. Today she said that she was tired of wasting the schools money and believes there are people other than us that would be a lot more deserving of the scholarship. In anger I said fine, pull me out. I think that she really wants to go through with it now. I have a ton of friends at school and play golf for school. I really don't want this opportunity taken away from me. How can I apologize to my mom and tell her I want to stay at my school?

Thank You

As a mom myself I have raised 3 children while being single, I know how hard it is on this end as well as how hard it is on your end to try to do your best only to feel that it may not seem like enough. But let me tell you as a teen I never understood why my father Always pushed me and sometimes it even seemed like he was being mean when he would say some things. But now as a parent I do understand that parents only want the best and sometimes it can come off as cruel when they say things that seem mean. Just tell her what your heart feels and maybe even let her know that you appreciate her as a single mom and all she has done. LET ME ALSO SAY THAT YOU ARE A WONDERFUL GIRL AND SMART TO, MOST KIDS YOUR AGE WOULD NOT EVEN FELT LIKE YOU DID.

who does your mum think she is ?

tell her to let the school worry about who they waste their money on its not her problem.

to be honest she sounds like she is jealous of what you have and is trying to look for ways to spoil it, and yes you do get parents that are like that.

only you know if you are giving it your best, i hope you are coz you would be a fool to waste this opportunity

Tell her you was sorry for yelling at her and tell her that this is your one and only chance and that you really want to go through with your scholorship and tell her you wont dissapoint her.
