Quick Quadrat. functions question?

1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

y=-3f(2-x)-2 for the root function...

2. Relevant equations

3. The attempt at a solution

If im given a function like, y=-3f(2-x)-2 for the root function...

Do i factor out the negetive on the x?

Making it.. y=-3f(-(x-2)-2 . making a reflection on both the x/y axis's ? Or is that wrong

    given f(x),

    f(x-2) will be the same curve but shifted (translated) to the right two units.

    f(-x) will be the same curve but reflected across the y axis

    thus it makes sense to factor as you suggest. x-2 translates the curve to the right, the negative then reflects that translated curve across the y axis. the -3 magnifies it by 3 and reflects it about the x-axis, and the final -2 translates all of that to the right.
