When handing in a resume, what dress code is appropriate?

I'm going to apply at an NCIX near me (computer store), but am unsure as to how I should dress when I go to hand in my resume.

Usually I wear jeans + t-shirt + sweater (all fit me well, none of that baggy or skinny-jean crap that's so popular today). Is that too casual? I have dress pants + shirt + shoes and a tie that I bought for graduation. Is that too formal?

    when applying (resume counts) you dress as you would if you worked there, or "dress casual." When your not sure, even for fast food
