Can't sleep more than (nearly exactly) 6 hours?

For the past week (perhaps longer, but I've been paying more attention to it for the past week or so), I can't sleep longer than almost exactly 6 hours. The past couple days, I've gone to bed around 12:00 to 12:15, and every morning, without fail, I'm awake between 6:15 and 6:30. It doesn't matter how tired I was when I went to sleep or how tired I am when I wake up, I cannot sleep longer or get back to sleep after I wake up.

This has developed over the past couple weeks, I could sleep 9+ hours no problem last month.

I'm a 19 year old male, if that helps any.

Update:

It's the same no matter what time I go to sleep or wake up. Usually I go to sleep around 2AM, and then I was waking up around 8. I've just been really tired lately, so I've been going to bed earlier (midnight).

There is probably something happening in your neighborhood that awakens you slightly even though you don't remember hearing it. Maybe a dog barking or a neighbor starting their car or opening a garage door. If I was really curious about it I would set my alarm for just before 6 am and see what I hear between 6:15 and 6:30, but remember that if you have ANY background noise going on you may or may not hear the problem. I have had similar experiences and have found that a NEW neighbor doing a NEW activity is generally the culprit! Good luck!
