Your favourite anime (or manga) ever?

Only one? i have to say that's a REALLY tough one that's for sure!

So... i'll state my favourite Manga / Manhwa / & Anime respectively ; )

Manga: Battle Angel Alita, 1990-present.

(A strong & imaginative Story that never fails to surprise & impress given it's sheer detail & futuristic setting , & one of the most Intriguing / charming yet also resilient & formidable lead Characters i've seen yet)

Manhwa: Rebirth, (Manhwa = Korean Manga) 1998-present.

(A captivating story that spans multiple eras & always is full of suspense that keeps you waiting with baited breath as to what happens next, plus at times extremely funny & witty, although).

Anime: Ōban Star-Racers, 2005.

(A Euro-Japanese Action / Sci Fi / Adventure Anime Series.

In my view the most Moving / memorable & well made Anime that has ever been made and one that i always think of more than any other, it's also the only Anime i've ever seen that is in English exactly as good as in the original Japanese!!

That & the Opening & closing songs for it [Chance to shine & Waratteta] made it onto the British Version, as such it's the only Anime to reach GB Television [ JETIX-UK ] completely intact, it didn't make it to US unaltered though so they lost out on that privilege ).

I also like "Cardcaptor Sakura" though as it was one of the

first six Anime i ever saw, that & it's really Kawaii!

cowboy bebop :) it had so much amazing action, the characters were developed so well, and the overall storyline was superb.

Favorite anime movie: akira!!!! God, so good!! All of it was just so awesome. I might dress up as tetsuo for Halloween (post transformation heheheh) if I can work it!

Favorite manga: hmm.. probably ranma 1/2? It might seem weird, but all the characters seemed very believable, and I liked it when he was both boy and when he was a girl. The fights were all awesome, too.

wait, are we distinguishing between anime movies and anime series? Because if we're not, then akira beats cowboy bebop for my favorite! But if we're keeping them in different categories, because I think we should, then my answer stands as is.

Also, jin roh is my second favorite anime movie ever, as it is so sad, and so hauntingly real. I highly recommend everyone see it.

ah, sorry, i thought u were asking for both fav anime and manga xD well, though Gintama is my fav anime, but i think 20th century boys manga deserved more the answer for this question XD

Fav manga: 20th Century Boys

- i am yet to find another manga as epic as this. the connectivity of the characters and also the plot twists.. all so mind blowing. i even cried at some of the heart warming moments..

- the main question in the manga is who is 'friend', but after re-reading it again, the answer is so obvious in one of the chapter. i think someone who is like conan lol who realized things quickly will figure out his identity as fast XD

I'm between Fruits Basket, Ouran High School Host Club and Maid-Sama. I'm really into shoujo<33

Probably Death Note. I even want to read more even after Light Yagami dead. Like another Shinigami (or Ryuk again) drop another Death Note but at his time use a man who is really opposite from Light ( with some humor or anything like that)

I just love the comedy and the whole thing about the zodiac! Torouh is so sweet and I love how Kyo acts around Torouh. Plus the characters are HILAIRIOUS!!!!! ITS DEFINATELY my #1!!

That's a really tough one to answer! i have so many favorites!

Bleach- because of the crazy story line and great in-depth characters

Death note- because of the originality

High School of the Dead- Great twist on the idea of a zombie apocalypse from a younger standpoint

Kobato.

Begins with the most loveable anime girl ever created, and an entertaining and very touching story...And ends with the saddest, most romantic ending you will ever see.

This is one of the only animes I have cried for.(The other is Clannad: After Story)...Which is quite the incredible feat. I wish it never had to end. :(
