  • Is it okay to stop taking Antibiotics after the allotted period, if I was only taking half-doses?

I was prescribed Antibiotics, specifically just 7 tablets for a week s worth. However, taking 1 made me feel odd, so I ve been taking half doses instead. Now I have just 1 tablet left, and I m kind of not wanting to continue it for these last two days.

I ve already technically gone beyond the week-long treatment because I ve been splitting the tablets in two. It s been about 12 days since I was prescribed them.

Would it be alright for me to discontinue right now? I know it s just one last pill, but I d rather not deal with the mild side-effects(including making me very lactose for up to 24-hours which sucks.) My symptoms have seemingly gotten better, but I don t want to mess up and have the virus become immune or something.

  • Is there a way to get around someone blocking you on Steam?

So I was playing this guy in Rivals of Aether, and he won the match, put his name to "u mad", then added me and pretended he wanted to be friends. Then he talked smack when I let my guard down and blocked me.

I could just say, "whatever," and walk away, but that's how losers think.

Is there any way for me to bypass the block so I can put some words in? You can't add friends by making a new account unless you spend Money, so that's not an option. Nor do I want to ask a friend to add him and tell him what I have to say.

  • Do you need a new Windows 7 disk to restore a computer if you don't have the original?

I haven't used my computer in months. Now, it suddenly has problems. Specifically, it keeps trying to boot Windows 7 from a disk, so I'm assuming my hard-drive died for no reason. I don't have the original Windows 7 disk used for it. I have another but no code for it.

So, can I use that other Windows 7 disk without the code? Or will I need the code? Will it even matter if my hard-drive really is dead?

  • HP laptop hinge broke, now I can't connect to the Internet. Any simple fixes?

One of the hinges on my laptop broke off completely(the right one, from my perspective,) This hasn't had any effects on the screen or anything from what I can see. HOWEVER: I can't connect to the Internet now via Wifi. Seems the wireless adapter built-in isn't functioning. Is there a simple fix for this?

My laptop is an HP from 2010. Hasn't had any prior problems besides a battery that had to be replaced.

  • Yugioh: If Shien's Effect's Activation is Negated, can I use it again in the same chain?

    So, let's break it down:

    1. Shien Attacks

    2. Opponent uses Mirror Force

    3. Shien Negates

    4. Opponent's Dolkka negates his effect.

    5. Shien uses his effect to kill a different Six Sam on the field instead.

The chain goes in this order:

    1. Shien Saves himself by killing another Six Sam.

    2. Dolkka negates Shien's Negating effect activation

    (3) Shien's Effect(This activation has been negated so this part of the chain doesn't happen)

    4. Opponent's Mirror Force effect(Shouldn't I be able to activated the effect since it never happened?)

    5. Shien's Attack

So, since my effect was never activated, can't I chain it to my opponent's Mirror Force, or can you not chain things to a chain that is currently resolving, even if something in the chain was changed?

    ^^^^^^

Why can Spell cards that say you can only use them 'once per turn' be activated again if they are negated, but negating Monster's effects/Normal Summoning doesn't work in the same way?

Bonus Question: Why is Konami so terribly inconsistent with their game?

  • Can I Recover a Temp OpenOffice Folder?

So I spent a few hours last night working on a chapter for a personal book of mine. I opened it from my email and began to work. Little did I know, it saved in TempFiles, and I didn't think about saving it in my Document or some other place; I just clicked Save every five minutes.

So now, I get on today and try to open it(via Recent Files on OpenOffice) and it can't be opened, because it doesn't exist any longer in the TempFiles(I looked.)

Is there any way to recover my file, or am I screwed?? Why the hell do Emailed files save to the TempFiles folder when downloaded anyways, do they assume that everyone who uses Email programs like to open virus-laced files from strangers? OpenOffice has no backup files anywhere. I'm ditching it after using it for the past 4 years if I can't recover my story.

  • What kind of condition are these cards in?

I've been looking around to find selling prices for these old Pokemon cards, but I'm not sure what to say the condition of them are. Also, could you list an estimated price perhaps that the card would go for with such condition thrown in?:

    Mewtwo(Holo, 1st Edition): It's bent forward a little bit, but that's all.

Zapdos(Holo, 1st Edition): It's twisted a little bit(The bend of it looks twisted)

Articuno, Charizard, and Blastoise(Holo, 1st Edition): Barely bent forward, even less so than Mewtwo.

The above cards have no tears or bend markings, they're just bent a bit from shifting around in the flimsy binder they're in.

Also, is Mint Condition perfectly straight, clean, untouched cards? Can something be Near-Mint if it's bent a tiny bit with no visible markings?

  • Yugioh: Can traps be immediately used on your opponent's turn?

Can traps be used on your opponent's turn, if you played it last turn? I know a 'turn' counts the first person's turn and the second person's turns, so would I have to wait until my next turn if I set it on first turn of the duel?

I feel stupid that I've been playing Yugioh for a long time, and only now has this argument come up for me...

  • Yugioh: If an opponent steals Stardust after using its effect, does it go back to my field after their turn?

Details: So I use Stardust Dragon's effect to negate something like Lightning Vortex. Then, my opponent uses MOnster Reborn to bring it back. Its effect says that, if I discarded it to the grave by its effect, I can special summon it back on my field at the end of the turn. So: Does this mean it will come back to my field at the end of the turn?

Also: If it doesn't, then what if he uses its effect? It would go to my Graveyard, since it's my monster, then would it be summoned to my side of the field?

  • Why do JRPGs freeze when beaten?

Just beat Star Ocean: First Departure(Great game, though not as good as the second one, on a side-note) and it froze at the end, just like the second game, and Kingdom Hearts 2.

Why does this happen? It's obviously a design choice many JRPG developers have decided for. I've noticed that, if you save before the final bosses in the Star Ocean games, you cannot unlock the final cutscenes, and you apparently fight a tougher boss. It seems like some sort of punishment for saving before the boss or something... Like they want me to go all the way back to the last save-point, save, and try to beat it from there.

  • In the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG, do monsters summoned from your opponent's grave go back there if they are destroyed?

I've never heard this rule, but, if it is true, then this is very game-breaking. It's like they made this rule so kids on the playground wouldn't accidentally take the other kid's cards without realizing it once they went home.

Is it also true that if you try to put this monster into your hand, it will go back to your opponent's hand?

  • "And" or "But" and the beginning of a sentence: Bad or Not?

I understand that it's considered to be improper, but does anyone know if publishers are really stingy on this or not? I don't think I'd really mind if I was reading a book and one of those words game up at the front of a sentence, as long as it didn't seem choppy. It'd just be nice to know if it is shunned in general publishing or not.

(It's my opinion that people can write however they want, though some ways, of course, might not be as great as others. You just have to experiment.)

  • Does Banishing allow for another summon? (Yugioh)?

If a monster's effect allows you to banish it after it attacks, then, for your second main phase, are you allowed to summon another monster, or does your first normal summon still count? My friends aren't sure, and can't quite give me an answer.

  • Can I have a friend in the car if I have a learner's permit?

I just got my learner's permit a few days ago, and I was wondering if it's legal to have him in the back seat if I'm driving with, say, my mom in the passenger seat. I'd assume not, but could somebody clarify for me?

As a side note, I don't plan on driving a long ways or something, but just like, cruise around the nearby streets.

  • Code Lyoko: Reloaded?

Any news about this 'Reloaded' project? Most things I find are from 2010, and can't really supply accurate information. I heard this project might be cancelled, but other sources say otherwise. The problem is just that ALL INFORMATION IS OLD, and almost all of it is unofficial. Please supply a link if able!

  • Kabuto vs Madara: Who is more powerful?

Madara is seriously relying on Kabuto too much. Is there any chance that Kabuto may actually be able to bring down Madara if he chooses to? Madara does have the Rinnegan Eye, and the Sharingan ,and all of that stuff...But Kabuto seriously has the upper-hand with all of this nonsense he's been doing. Speculaton, arguements, opinions...All are welcome!

  • How to teach people to type.?

I type 120 WPM with no mistakes easily. It annoys me when people type with one finger, and have to stare down at their keyboard.

So: What's a good way to help them get better? Typing tests don't really help. I got the way I am by myself.
