As a resident of Canada, born and worked in the Netherlands - does anyone know?
how long I have to have worked in the Netherlands to entitle me to a Dutch pension? I lived there until I was 21 and worked there for around 4 years before I emigrated to Canada.
I am now 60 years old and thinking of retiring and wondered if I would be eligible to draw a small pension based on the years I worked there.

It is unlikely that you have build up anything in those years, as most pension plans only start at age 25. It is possible though, I know someone who started at 18 with his private pension plan.
I do not think you will have much, if any, rights on AOW, as you need to have lived in the Netherlands for a certain amount of years at least, including those years just before your 65th.
But I would contact the Dutch embassy in your case to ask where your address needs to be known in case you do have some pension rights.'
The pension organizations have to find you, but when abroad it is likely that they will not have your address like they would have the address of all Dutch people within the country.
