How much should be paid for a decent PC?

We're talking about a Desk Top to be used in a home by a small family. I'd like to be be able to play a few games and search the web with this machine. So what do you folks say?

    If you mean by "a few games", online games and games that you play straight off websites: $500.

    For a 3D games: $700.

    A decent PC for the average use (non gamer), should cost around $400 or $500 USD these days.

    700.00 ----dell , hp, asus--that includes the monitor and printer
