How can I convert a coaxial video signal to component?

I am looking at purchasing a TV that only has HDMI and component inputs. As this TV will be traveling in an RV, there will be times where I will want to connect it to an antenna that only has a coaxial cable. Is there a relatively easy device that I can purchase that will be able to convert the coaxial cable signal to work with component cables?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Since the TV (really a MONITOR) you are purchasing does have a tuner and hence no antenna jack, you will need to get a DTV/HD set top box. This box will have the coaxial antenna connector and you'll need to make sure it has HDMI and/or component OUTPUTS.

For an RV, you should really be purchasing an ordinary, modern, flatscreen TV. It will have the built-in tuners that you need for TV reception in North America.

If you buy a monitor with no tuner, you'll just have to get an outboard tuner for it, which is another piece of equipment to power up and carry around in the RV. Can't imagine why anyone would want to do that. There is obviously a better choice.

What your looking at purchasing is not a TV- it's a monitor. Maybe you should consider getting a television that will have a tuner so you can connect it to your antenna.
