Allen Carrs EASYWAY to stop smoking?

I'm a secret smoker and have been for nearly 10 years, nobody apart from my husband knows I smoke, I only do it at home around the back of the house. I am half way through this book and very excited about being able to stop but also a bit sceptical still, when I smoke my "last cigarette" I know the next morning when the kids have gone of to school I will miss my routine of sitting on the step with a coffee and having my first of 15 a day. My question is do I get rid of all my packets or keep one unopened in the cupboard, a bit if advice from anyone who has used this book would be hugely appreicated, thanks.

now dont laugh,,i read this book too!

it realy helped me to understand the addiction, you will realise why that 1st *** is the "best" one, it will help you understand why you smoke, why after giving up you in the past have re started. dont get me wrong, it still takes strength to walk away from such an addictive habit but it will be worth it, it will be 3 yrs in october for simon and i, and i still thank my luckey stars everyday that im no longer a slave to the ciggy. it will tell you in the book what to do. by the way, its only a pleasure because your body has been deprived of a drug all night, the feeling you get when you have that 1st *** is not real pleasure, its a satisfaction of a craving,,like a junkey shooting up, its not the drug that feels nice its the relief of not craving anymore. and by having that *** you are just perpetuating the cycle by feeding the addiction. take care, good luck x

Good luck with it!! My brother in law paid a huge sum of money to actually go to a seminar he did, gave up that day and hasn't smoked again in about 15 years! I read the book, still have it actually, but haven't had the guts to go cold turkey. I've heard good results though

I quit 14 months ago using Chantix. I still sometimes want a cigarette. I won't have one though because after smoking for 35 years I don't ever want to go back! I don't know if smokers ever really get over the craving. I guess we just need to stick to our decision. I really wish I knew the answer. Good luck and please stick to it.
