Advice on prospective job situation?

I'm just looking for some advise here.

Around 2 months ago I inquired about a situation with a job with an employer, she told me that due to the current situation with her business she would not be needing another employee, but would keep my info on file for the future. Well, I just saw a post in our association's newsletter and she is looking for someone again. Would it be appropriate for me to contact her about the position, or should I wait for her to contact me?

I'm sure I'll end up calling her, especially because the contact person is not her (the owner), but one of her other employees (I believe assistant director), but just wanted to see if this is the right thing to do.

Okay, grain of salt here, since I am really inexperienced in job hunting, but I would contact the company through the contact person. If you end up talking to her again, great, shouldn't be awkward, unless you let it.
