Can I have some critique on my logo?
It's my first logo. I'm starting design personal stuff. I have two main questions:
1. Is the mountain clearly enough an "A"? (aka, does it read Altezze Design or ltezze Design?)
2. Is the mountain clearly enough a mountain?
3. What do you think of it?

Well, it doesn't look nearly as bad as a few of my first logos :)
1) No, I just see LTEZZE
2) Not really, try making the lines smaller as they climb, and maybe add some depth to it, or even they incorporate things that associate with mountains like trees, birds, etc...
3) Again, it isn't that bad. I like the simplicity of it. I would say just add an A, this would remove all confusion. But only do this after you try making the mountain look like an A- don't give up that fast!
Most importantly, do what you think looks best!

A doesn't stand out at all. It reads LTEZZE, as far as I can see.
The mountain doesn't really reflect the mountain image....more like pen marks for a design studio.
Other than that it's a right. Except, I happen to do this for a living and I can see a definite no-no.
I would make the mountain image smaller so as to reduce the 2/3 of the frame it takes up, even if the mountain and lettering are half and half it would be better, People naturally read from left to right, look at other logos to see what I am trying to say.

No..its not instantly clear..

I used a Digital Still Camera for my Logo--
Placing a un-usual rock on the keyboard of my Synthesiser..
Then I cropped the jpg..to a logo looking thing..then used a EFFECT--to alter its over-all appearance..adding in the TEXT--of my company name(which is just a internet-ID/)..[end]

1) I'm seeing more of an "N" than an "A"
2) Not really, I'm afraid...
3) I actually like the general look of it, but its not conveying the message you want it to.
