  • How long does the IRS take to cash my check?

    I sent in my IRS check on 4/11/2010 and it still hasn't been cashed. I'm concerned as I don't want to pay any fees because the check is lost or from something else that stopped them from getting my money.

    What should I do and who should I call to resolve this problem?

  • New hard, best way to transfer?

    I just bought a new hard drive, a WD Black 1TB. I currently have two 500GB that are failing with missing sectors and such. Because of this, I cannot use the Acronis software to clone my hard drive as I get errors.

    What I want to do is install Windows 7 on the new hard drive, but not dual boot with the old Windows 7. However, I still need access to the two old hard drives for doing any transfers I need. When booting, will my computer boot to the newer Windows 7 OS or the older or neither when all three are connected? Also, I will disconnect the two hard drives when installing Windows 7 so that it doesn't affect my data or having an OS already installed.

    If this wont work, can anyone tell me the best way?
