Our cat has been acting weird lately?

Lately, our 15 year old long-haired tabby cat has been acting weird.

She has kinds of OCDs, I guess you'd call them. She always sleeps higher than everybody else (if they're on the floor, she's on the couch, etc.), and she always sleeps on one corner of our dresser.

But she's been sleeping on the floor lately, and she was sleeping on a different corner of our dresser today, but she was curled up wierdly and breathing very irregularly. She would breathe really slow, then breathe really really fast, then slow down again, then it looked like she stopped breathing.

We thought she was dead, as she didn't wake up when we called her or petted/scratched her, but after a couple minutes she did wake up. I've never seen or heard of a cat sleeping that deeply, she usually wakes up before you even get close to her, let alone pet her or call her.

We tried looking this up on petsmd.com, but no help there... Anybody know what's going on?

yeah, that could be a very bad sign! take her to a vet please. if she is fifteen and breathing irregularly she may have internal failure. especially if she hasn't exerted the energy to be in her normal spot. i've seen a few cats and dogs die the way you are describing. one puppies lungs collapsed. another one poisoned. another one hit by car but blood accompanied that. i can't tell you the reason for her breathing but

if she isn't getting enough air that is painful. it wouldn't be good to leave the poor thing in pain.

Well, she is kind of old so if she keeps acting weirdly then take her to the vet!!!! My cat isn't even that old but she started sleeping in her own bed( which she never has done before) then we tookher to the vets to get her checked out and it turned out she had a tumor. Don't wait too long to get her looked at. Make sure to check out her body itourself to see if u can find anything. I hope this helps and I hope your kitty is okay!!! Also, she might have a lung or heart problem so I would sugest taking her to the vet NOW!

I would take her into the vet if I were you. It could be something simple that's easily treated with medications. She is on the on the older side for a cat, so she might just be on her way out. It's definitely worth a vet visit though. Good luck!

She's in warmth! I assure you she is. They meow like they are in soreness, yet they are not. they only opt to mate regardless of if should not be allowed. They do wierd issues with their butt, additionally they're going to lay down with their butt up interior the air to attempt and allure to a male cat. And once you touch her, she likes it :( eww. Get her spayed.

Take her to the vet ASAP. She could have a heart or lung problem.
