X-mas gift ideas for my daycare provider?

What is an appropriate X-mas gift for my daycare provider? She is a Mom with 2 young kids of her own, plus the 2 little girls she watches. We have been attending her daycare for almost two years now.

What are some things you guys are getting for your child care provider?

A nice cold apple martini! I know that's what I would want after watching four kids all day.

I'd say 15-20 is the max I'd spend. Maybe spend a little more on the teacher. How about a nice Christmas ornament? Or a lotion gift set? If your at a real loss gift cards are great. Considering that in most cases a lot of teaching tools and supplies come out of the daycare providers pocket, a bookstore or supply store gift card would be nice. And on the flip side of that how about a nice certificate for a facial or a massage, help her get rid of the stress of chasing the little ones all week long. Just try and remember, most every teacher has about 100 different "#1 teacher" knick-knacks.

Is there anything your child care provider really likes? If you don't know, then try getting something from all of you. You could get your childrens pictures put onto a plague with something like "Thank you for caring for us" engraved in it (or whatever you want to say). It's something special that your daycare provider will probably enjoy. If this doesn't sound good to you, then give her money (an xmas bonus!..if you can afford it). Good luck and I hope this helps

A gift certificate to either a spa , or to a night out like a dinner show, (I know that is a bit too expensive though), so how about certificates for a favourite coffee shop or cafe, that's a great one to receive, plus a small token gift is always nice to open in addition to a certificate.

    Movie tickets would be good.

Less expensive jewellery (but special), like a bracelet or necklace or earrings.

And, of course, always chocolates. Whatever you give will be appreciated.

You can do something simple like cookies or a fruit basket. Or you could get her a gift card to target so that she may be able to buy some supplies for the daycare that she may not have been able to buy on her own. Or a massage, mani / pedi if you want to spoil her. Stationary is always a good bet too.

I would get her some sort of spa treatment, like a pedicure or massage and write something on her card like, thanks for taking care of my little one all year. This gift if so you can take care of yourself for a day.
