I'm supposed to do a debate? Positive and negative aspects of technology?
(if you don't want to read the whole thing just go to the 2nd last paragraph lol)
In school we're doing a robotics unit and we had to build and program a robot and all that ****. But then my teacher tells us that we had to do a debate on whether having robots is negative or positive.
They let us choose if we're doing negative or positive and me being the retard I am said, "I don't care." So I ended up doing the positive aspects.
It turns out that we're debating not JUST about robotics but technology in general. It's so easy to berate technology and I can't really come up with valid points that seem arguable.
So I'm asking... what are some positive things about technology?

Technology makes things easier and more convenient.
Without it, we wouldn't know what pi was, how far Mars was from the moon, there'd be no way of communication besides mail. Mail would be slow because there would be no trucks, planes, or ships.
Everything would be no-tech (opposed to high-tech and low-tech). We'd use animal-fat candles, lit by flint and steel.
Ah well hope that kinda help. =/

POSITIVE
Technology improves the way we live so we aren't running around like cavemen going crazy because we only see half the moon and we think a giant alien from Mars has bitten into the "blue cheese"
NEGATIVE
It can have a bad impact on the society and economy. For example if a new robot has been made to complete all the jobs in a factory then everyone who works there will probably not have a job.

Some positive things about technology are , it will make life easier and we should develop some things that will save our planet .
