If I'm asking out a guy, is this over the top?
Okay, so we're both still in school (not university; elementary, middle, high) and he is a year older. Because everyone is immature in my school, that's a pretty big deal.
I don't care for your personal opinion on a girl asking out a guy but I was just wondering if this would be over the top.
I like to be creative, and avoid confrontation. I thought of going to one of those photo booths and take a sketch pad with "I like you. Want to go out?" split onto different pages. Each photo would have a different page. I'd give the picture strip to him or slip it in his locker or something with "Yes[]", "No[]", and "Maybe[]" written on the back.
Is that over the top? Will that seem like I'm trying too hard and be weird?
Any advice is appreciated =)

What are some differences for high-school/middle school kids now and 25 years ago in fashion, responsibilities, school, and/or peer pressure?

1 AnswerHomework Help1 decade agoHow to wear suspenders?
Tomorrows St. Patty's day and I bought some green suspenders to wear (it was impulse, okay?!)
I'm planning on wearing it with jean shorts (light denim) and some random shirt but I don't know how that'll look.
So some ideas of wearing them? They're about the same green as the Ask, Answer, Discover bar ^up there^
PS I know suspenders on girls are kinda weird but that's the kinda person I am. I'm into a punkish style but geek chic is absolutely adorkable =)
Anything cute is okay though =3
3 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoA nice dress for my school's Black & White Semi-Formal?
My school's having a Black & White Semi-Formal.
Obviously you can only wear white or black and since it's a Semi-Formal, girls have to wear a skirt or dress.
I want to be really non-conforming (as non-conforming you can be at a Black&White event, anyways) and have somewhat odd pieces in my outfit.
I want a white dress that I can wear with black tights and black high top Converse. I also REALLY want to wear a tie. Loosely, in a very cute way, not like how men wear them to work.
Extra info is I love Korean/Japanese fashions. I think they're absolutely adorable.
I also need my outfit on the 29th because that's when the dance is.
Suggestions are like and links are loved!
If you could normally find it in a typical mall, that'd be awesome. Online is fine as long as they arrive within 2 weeks.
8 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoWhat do you think of my poem [about Prejudice]?
This is for a school assignment/contest. It's "What Prejudice Means to Me"
Be as critical as you like; I'm always open to improvement.
I look at the sign,
Written with red ink,
‘No ****** Allowed’
I don’t know what to think
Are we so terrible,
That you shunned my race?
My brothers and sisters,
Because of the color of my face?
I see many men and women;
I see not the color of their skin;
As I’m walking down the road,
I see the aura within
Hers is silver,
And shines like the moon;
His is golden,
Like the sands of Cancun;
I wonder why they don’t notice
These souls trudging about
That your race is not who you are
Without a single doubt
A color cannot define
Who you are
That’s for you to decide
Are you a huge planet or a small star?
That sign I saw
With that ugly phrase
Scrawled in red ink
Is now all but a haze
Next time you’re face
With the ugliness of prejudice
Ask yourself,
“Will I let this speck tell me to do that or do this?”
Walk past that sign
Walk past that door
Walk past that gate
Walk like you’ve never walked before
2 AnswersHomework Help1 decade agoAre these songs "Clean" enough for school?
I'm doing an extra credit project for Music and all we have to do is make a mix of our favorite songs. They have to be clean language-wise and content-wise. So even if a song has no cuss words, but it talks about sex and drugs NO. And even if it's about fluffy bunnies, but says the F*** word, nope.
So here's the list:
Topless by Breaking Benjamin [Clean]
Move by Thousand Foot Krutch
Smooth by Escape the Fate
Toxic by A Static Lullaby
Headstrong by Trapt
Emotionless by Good Charlotte
Bring Me to Life by Evanescence
Going Under by Evanescence
Disturbia by The Cab
...Baby One More Time by August Burns Red
PS She said it's good if it's the clean version as in language but content still has to be appropriate.
