Does Buspirone (Buspar) have anti-emetic properties?

I was told by a medico, today, that Buspirone *does* have anti-emetic properties. Arising from where, I have no idea. Maybe this information is false.

From what I understand, the major classes of drugs with anti-emetic activity are: anti-histamines (H1 receptor antagonists), phenothiazine anti-psychotics (like, Prochlorperazine--inhibiting primarily D2 and histamine), 5-HT3 receptor antagonists, and Lorazepam (binding to subset of GABA-a/BzR receptors).

Buspirone is a serotonin 5-HT1A receptor partial agonist, so I have no idea how this drug could offer anti-emesis. I have read, though, that it also functions as a dopamine D2, α1, and α2-adrenergic receptor antagonist, albeit, to a lesser degree. Would the latter account for an anti-emetic effect? Perhaps anti-emesis arises only through anxiolysis among individuals with primarily gastrointestinal anxiety sxs. I don't know. Anyone have any idea?

Update:

Been reading: I think, perhaps, anti-emesis is related to dopamine D2 receptor antagonist properties--same mechanism of action as metoclopramide and domperidone, which are commonly prescribed as anti-emetics, from what I understand...

Like Miss Kathleen I started with zoloft and reached the max at 200mg. I was better but still not well enough to get out of the severe depression I was experienceing 8 years ago. Wellbutrin was added and it helped tremendously. I take the zoloft in the morning with 150 mg. of Wellbutrin, then another Wellbutrin 150mg around 3PM. Due to the fact that, it was my second major depression, I will take these throughhout my life. Praise God all is well. A psychiatrist knows the right combination or single meds to take. I woudn't rely on a primary care physcian, because frankly they're clueless.
