Confused over some lyrics in a song?

I was listening to the song Build God Then We'll Talk by Panic! At the Disco and I didn't understand part of the lyrics. It said "A wonderful caricature of intimacy." What does that mean? Can anyone explain it to me?

This particular song is about: A hooker (Caricature of intimacy)

They set up the lyrics to tell a story about the routine a hooker goes through on a usual night.. but this one happens to be The night she got caught.

"Tonight tenants range from a lawyer and a virgin" (keyword Tonight)

"Moonlighting aside, she really needs his money

Oh, What a wonderful caricature of intimacy. yeah"-Moonlighting :To work at another job, often at night, ( "what a wonderful caricature of intimacy")in addition to one's full-time job."( "what a wonderful caricature of intimacy")= Hooker.

Purse of a different kind = Black book. black book: a little note pad often used to write down names of clientel, or important dates and times. " Along with The people inside "

    "There are no

Raindrops on roses and girls in white dresses

It's sleeping with roaches and taking best guesses

At the shade of the sheets before all the stains

And a few more of your least favorite things"- Textbook lyrics for a sad life...

The terrible crash is when the cops came in and busted her...

I honestly believe this song is about prostitution.

Right off the bat, he describes the motel off the corner of 4th and Freemont. Well if you use your street smarts, you know that motels are common offices for prostitutes. The "caricature of intimatcy" he is referring to is the prostitute doing her "job" with the client. Intimacy, in this case probably refers to sex.

Source(s): This is just my opinion. I could be totally wrong.

Lyrics are pretty much the poetry written to be sung. So we will be able to say pretty much they're poetry however as soon as a few frame sings them they are going to be songs. But they're not ever natural songs. Lyrics are poetry shall be my one line reply for your query.
