what can i use to cut scenes from my dvd player on my pc?

Question

I want to cut scenes from a movie off of my dvd player on my pc
and be able to put my own spoof to it, change it, may be mix with it I
know that I can use movie maker but I have to rip the whole dvd when I only need a part. any one know of a good program

You can use wondershare dvd ripper plaintum, it is able to rip dvds by setting the start time and end time, thus you don't have to rip the whole dvd, it can save the dvd clip to reuglar video files in avi, mp4, wmv, mpeg,etc

You may try this dvd ripper, it can help you rip partion of the DVD movie to computer in wmv video, then you can use windows movie maker to edit it, and here is a step by step guide about how to use it
