are my employee rights being violated?

I work for a non union fast food joint I only worked there for 4 months now and Im working very little hours because of the payroll is not doing too good. So they stopped hiring but resiliently the stores manager has

hired her best friend then she has been getting most of the hours

as im left with 4 hours 1 or 2 days in the week

    If you live in the United States, all states except Montana have at-will status. Montana has a version of at-will, but it's a little different. What at-will means is that your employer can hire and fire who they please as long as it is not against the protected discrimination classes of sex, gender, race, nationality, ethnicity, disability or religion. This is not the case here. Your employer also has the right to set your hours and your wages. Your employee rights are not being violated as you actually have very few employee rights.

    No, you have no rights. If he wants to hire someone and give her all kinds of hours, he can do so.
