Bluetooth for a 2005 Mercedes C240?

Just bought my first Mercedes from a Repo man. Great price, but I have no manual and no idea how anything works. I've seen on-line that if I want to hook up my blue tooth phone to my car, a. I need to fork over 800-2000 for the Mercedes blue tooth kit or b. I can buy another blue tooth kit for $60? How do I hook it up and will it work through the existing Mercedes system (the phone pad already installed on the dash and the buttons on the steering wheel).

Does it have the phone kit in the car? I don't mean the button marked "phone" on the radio. That button is standard on all '05 Benz models but it just tells you the vehicle is ready to accept the phone kit, it does not mean that the optional kit is installed in the vehicle.

If it is, you just need a Bluetooth puck and then you can mate your Bluetooth enabled phone with the vehicle.

If you don't have it, you need to install the kit first. It's a nice system as it integrates the phone system with the audio system but I'll warn you now that it's not cheap. No, the aftermarket system will not work the same as the original one because you still need the phone kit installed.
