BOY!!! Just wanted to let anyone know that gives a hoot that my little bundle of joy arrived VERY quickly yesterday.
My Dr "rimmed" my cervix Monday morning, I started losing mucus at 2:30 yesterday morning, went to the hospital at about 10:30am, they did some checking over and sent me home because my contractions were irregular and at best 10min apart. On the 15min drive home they became 2min apart, so as soon as we got home we turned around and went back and my beautiful baby boy was delivered an HOUR later!!
Absolutely NO DRUGS again (although I asked for them and they WERE going to give them to me but he came SO darn fast!), a few minor 1st degree tears (couple of stitches.) He was born at 2:58pm on July 21st, Dr signed my release at 8:00am this morning but had to wait until 3:00pm for the 24hr PKU test before I could go home. So I was home by 4:00 today.
8lbs 3oz, 20inches long, beautiful, healthy and still not 100% on the name yet, we're thinking of Gavin.
Anyone else delivered recently??? love to hear your stories!!
We already have a daughter who will be 4 next month and she came too fast for drugs as well (but not as fast as this little guy did!), so she was completely natural birth as well.
BTW I am NOT the one giving the thumbs downs, what is wrong with people??

You had him on my hubby's b-day, which is what I was kind of hoping for. I'm still waiting. Had a doc appt. today and she stripped my membranes, still nothing is happening, so far. I was losing pieces of mucous plug numerous times today, but nothing blood tinged. I'm 70% effaced, still 2 cm, and had another NST. My fundal is measuring an inch less than last FRI so I'm thinking he is dropping. I'm feeling fine right now, other than having to pee every 10 minutes. Everything is still looking good and I am hoping he comes soon, I'm getting anxiously impatient!
Congrats on your bundle. Gavin is a nice name, I'm still stuck on a name too, I have an idea, just don't know for sure.

Congrats! My baby boy was born 7/16! He was 9 lbs 5 oz and would not fit into the birth canal so I had to have a c-section. My first two daughters were born vaginally so it was a surprise, to say the least. It awesome that everything worked out (and so quickly) for you! I had my membranes stripped twice and still never went into labor on my own, I was induced due to his size. Again, congrats!!

Congratulations!! I went to my appointment yesterday (im 37 weeks 5 days today) and the dr told me she'd be surprised to see me next tuesday. She thinks I'll be going soon,I'm 3 cm and 50% effaced. Congrats to you,and I hope it all works out,and best wishes!!

I havent delivered but i do have a story(:
i was born the 20th and the day i was born it was my doctors birthday too...(the one who helped deliver) so he was on his way out to dinner when my mom came rushing in.
my dad had to beg him to help my mom with the birth
poor doctor(:
so instead of celebrating he had to help some lady give birth to a baby(:

AWW!! CONGRATS!! Is it your first? I haven't had a baby ever but monday i babysat a 6 month old. he was cute. hope your baby is the same
