Are you afraid of the dark?

Living in a big city:

It is never dark.

It is never quiet, not completely.

I am ALWAYS aware of others around me.

And therefore:

I am never alone.

I always feel safe.

I am never bored.

The dark could easily be a metaphor for mankind's attempt to explain the root question "why are we here". It would therefore also be a metaphor that a nightlite is a simile to religion, in that it gives comfort without dispelling the real dangers.

These shadows are of our own making

Formed from conscience, doubts

and fears

They are us

And grow in number

With the passing of the years

nice. My grandpa always said there is an explanation for every noise and every shadow.

what scares me is when the shadow is strangely human!!!!!!

But shadows are of our own making.

of shadows

I have feared
