Why does fish poop look this way?
At the risk of learning far more than I ever wanted to know about this, why does fish poop look like they crap out their intestines? What is that casing they poop out and why? Just idle curiosity.
Sorry, Snowflake, my poop doesn't come out in a translucent casing like I see drifting around in tanks and hanging from fish anuses. I refuse to speculate on your diet.

If a fish has long translucent poop, it's a sign of stress or internal parasites. A healthy fish's poop usually comes out shorter and is dark green/brown unless it's being overfed, which it'll come out the colour of the food it's being fed. The translucent "casing" is mucous that lines their intestines.

Have you ever looked at your own poop? It sometimes comes out long and round. That's how poop should look. Unless you get the runs.
