12-21-2012.. what do you think?
i asked the astronomy people now for the physics people. mayan calendar ends..ok. so what. but what about these tests many countries are running in the event of a polar shift. I have heard alot about it and I dont know if something will happen or not but I know I cant stop it. Just curious to know what other people think about it and what they believe might happen.

there really aren't any Physics arguments to be made.
the whole thing was made up to sell books.
if you don't buy their books, they will just change the date to 2018 and see you in a few years.

December 21st is the day the Sun reaches its lowest point in the sky - the Winter Solstice. 2012 is the year when the Earth, the Sun, and the center of the Milky Way (our galaxy) will be in alignment. It's mark the end of one astronomical age and the beginning of another. Nothing significant will happen.
But I want to be around when Betelgeuse goes Supernova. We'll be able to see it during both the night and day.

I think you have to turn the stone calendar over and begin the other side.
I found a metal "perpetual calendar" that ran out on Dec 31, 1956.
I'm glad that one was wrong ,too

What will happen is the same thing that happened on 01/01/01.
Absolutely nothing
