What dose everyone think of the new "Tires Or Gas Only Rule" in the Camping World series?

It's ridiculous, in my opinion. Anytime you artificially create more unneeded pit stops you have the potential for more problems on pit road. The idea is to save the teams money but going over the wall is only a small part of their job detail. They all serve other functions within the organization anyway, whether it's as a tire tech, suspension specialist or whatever. This new rule is NOT saving the owners any money and only creating an environment that is less safe for the crews and drivers. They need to get rid of it ASAP!

convinced I do yet I under no circumstances followed it like I do until eventually very last season, similar for nationwide. I follow both a similar as Cup now. My driver in trucks is Austin Dillon. actually in the start it become actually because it turned right into a Chevy RCR black #3 Bass professional shops truck. So it become all because of the black 3 Chevy and the sponsor, being a RCR truck and Austin being Richard Childress' grandson helped to. yet because the 2010 season went on I said he's a good guy and a good extra powerful driver. Hell be in Cup very instantly.

I am just glad that I am not the only one that thinks this rule is the stupidest rule ever!

And the cutting 4 salaries... these are regular people not polititions... since when does it take 4 people to put gas in a car? I am thinking 2 at most... 1 for the fuel can and one for the catch can

I think it is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of in my entire life.If they are already taking the time to get tires, why not put the gas in during the stop? It's not like it takes anymore time.It is just another incompetent move by NASCAR to screw up everything. It will probably make it's way to the Nationwide and Cup Series before long, ruining those series,as well.

One of the best things about the truck series, was, that it was simple. You just show up and you raced. The one or the other rule adds complexity and unneeded variables to a series that used to be pure racing. Or as close as NASCAR will let 'em get to it.

i also say it's stupid, and possibly dangerous. somewhere along the line, someone's going to need both gas, and tires. someone's going to end up taking a gamble and just take one of the two pit options. which of the two they don't take cut cause someone to wreck. let's say someone need gas and tires. suppose they need both really bad, but don't want to come down pitroad twice and possibly give up possible race position, so let's say the driver goes and takes tires, but no gas. they go to restart, and the car runs out of gas causing the driver to stall right in the middle of the field, but can't stop in time in which the field stacks up and they all wreck. also if they just take gas but, no tires, they go to restart, and the tires blow out, yet again, can't stop in time, and everyone behind him stacks up again and they wreck.

my point to this, this is a stupid, and dangerous rule.

I just plain don't understand what would make it better .... I disagree with the rule totally. The point is to save money, cutting 4 jobs?, and making the trucks go back on the track to come back in ... I don't see how that can save money.

its a stupid Rule but don't worry once teams start to crash because they take gas on there last pit stops and there tires are gone and end up getting a flat and crash there truck and start complaining to nascar I"m sure the rule will change.

It doesnt make sense. They end up coming right back in to fill up. The only thing it gains is you might gain a few positions down pit road depending on how fast you can get stopped.

It's smart in todays tough times especially with the number of teams dropping out of the series. JUst wait until they get to the West Coast races the second time. Fortunately this cuts the number of crew members in half to save the teams approximately 4 salaries. It's smart but hopefully short lived once the economy picks up.

I disagree with anyone that says its stupid. It's not stupid it's needed for us to see semi full fields on the weekend.
