We want to solve for x so first we want to get the term with x in it (3/x) by itself.

    So, 3/x=3-(7/2)

3/x=(6/2)-(7/2) We wanted a common denominator

    3/x=-1/2

    Now cross multiply

    -x=6

So x=-6 (by dividing both sides by -1)
